Cheap Rocks!

Rock Revivals are by far my all time favorite brand of jeans. However, I’m not such a fan of the price even if they are worth it. They usually run about $140-$170 bucks. I went the mall today to visit a friend of mine that works in Dillards. Mind you I had no intention of shopping until  I saw these guys with a sign about them that said 40% off the lowest price!

They were the last pair of this style and they were my size! After I asked the sales chick what  price they would be after tax I couldn’t walk away!

I only payed $72.76 for a $148 pair of jeans! SCORE!

This Dress Says…I’m 30!

The fiance took this pic with his Iphone before we went downtown to celebrate my 30th with friends. For him to do this without me prompting him is a rarity so when he does you know it’s a good look 🙂 .To celebrate the big 3-0 I knew I wanted something different and of course hot! And to be honest at first glace this dress was not what I was going for. I normally have a rule to avoid slut-ville….show either the boobs or the legs. Well this dress sure threw out the rule book because it showed the boobs, the legs, and THE BACK!

When I showed it to my fiance in the store it was the only dress out of seven that he dubbed as hot. Plus he raised his eyebrows and nodded his head (always a good sign). So I tried it on and it fit like a glove. Actually more like sausage casing but I thought WFT…if I can still pull it off and he loves it why not! Not gonna let all those damn back exercises at the gym be in vain!

Haha! I have to say that I smirked a little bit when a girl said she had the same dress because she got hers in Spain. Can’t even imagine what that must have cost her! I got mine at Ross for $12.99!

Gotta love birthday deals! A girl has to be frugal in her old age 🙂

I Taught Him Well!

When I first introduced my fiance to my cheap ways he was appalled! My apologies  for the Cheap Diva humor :). I’m a bit of a nerd from time to time. But seriously though, the first time I took him to one of my favorite discount stores he turned his nose up immediately and said that it looked like a garage sale. Low and behold a year and a half later….I’ve turned him into a Cheap Divo! I was so proud when he went shopping for a new pair of jeans and brought these Rock Revivals home!

He usually wears MEK so I was surprised when he jumped ship. I was even more surprised when I saw the receipt. He only paid $59.99 for them! The tag says they retail at $120 but they are  actually more like $160. I have a few pairs in my closet that I payed full price for. Can u smell the envy? There are few things that I am willing to spend  a lot of money on but I LOVE the way Rock Revival’s fit. Plus they keep their integrity after a few million washes. Needless to say my honey did well with this find! I Love my man and his newly found frugal ways 🙂 ( Just kidding babe )

Fall Fakers

The weather has finally decided to stop being that of Lucifer so I have a sudden urge for fall fashion. But i’ts not fall just yet so I figured I would fake it a little. We have a new weekly appearance at the local race track called Southland Park that I wanted to get something cute but not too dressy for so I went on the hunt today. I found this adorable little shrug at Rue 21 for $6.0o! It was originally $16.99 and then marked down to $12.99. But I found it on the $7.00 clearance rack. Not sure why it rang up a dollar cheaper but I wasn’t going to complain.

I also found this cute little racerback  tee on the $5.oo rack marked down from $10.99. Love me some animal prints!!

$12.02 isn’t to shabby of a tab for my fall-ish finds. Later that day I had to go to Target for some groceries and whenever I go in there I always take a gander at the clearance rack. Just as a side note, I have come to realize lately that I have two addictions….Shoes and Wifebeater Tees.  So naturally I grab one whenever I find one that has a good fit. You will have to excuse the term but that’s what we called them back home 🙂

I got this really soft one for $4.50 marked down from $9.00.

Its pretty green will mix well into the fall months’ fashions. And it looks cute with the shrug I got too!

So what if it’s not technically fall weather yet. I can pretend! Happy Shopping!

Boob Job Bra

What girl  doesn’t want to feel Two Times Sexy? To be honest I was recently on the hunt for a bra to give me the Dolly Parton look for an upcoming Vegas themed party that my friend is throwing for her husband’s birthday. I was wandering around Target looking for some of those chicken cutlet insert things when I came upon this awesome bra!

This thing puts the Victoria Secret push up bra to shame! Not to mention that its about $32.00 dollars cheaper! I only payed $16.99 for it! And its comfy too!

I think I’ll skip the before and after boobie shots. But trust me I look like I got a little work done when I’m wearing this miracle bra. I may even go back for another one! Happy shopping!

Cheap Diva Vacation Edition

It always happens that when you go on vacation you abandon your sense of finding the perfect deal. You look at the price tag and say “Eh! I’m on vacation.” No, no, no! I just went to visit friends and family in Florida over the Forth of July weekend. Florida is one of my shopping meccas because there are so many awesome stores there. In that bag of goodies above I could have dropped almost a $100 bucks an two  things but that just wouldn’t be me. My girlfriend watched my puppy over the weekend and knowing what a little handful she can be I wanted to get her something special. She’s a Coach junkie and Florida happens to have an amazing outlet mall that has a Coach store.  Almost everything in that store is up to 50% off and being that it was a holiday weekend they were giving and extra 30% off. I found this adorable coach key chain that you put pictures in! She has two little boys so this is perfect for her.

These can retail normally for $38.00 but the price at the outlet store was $19.00. With the extra 30% off I payed about $14.00! I was about to check out until I found this little goody! When I saw the price there was no way I was walking out of that store without it.

This cosmetic case usually sells for $58.00 but the outlet store had it in their clearance section. With all of the discounts I ended up only spending $14.16!!!

Now you would think that because its an outlet store that they would just throw it in a bag and be done, but it is still a Coach store! Look at these cute little baggies they came in!

So cute! Hopefully my friend isn’t looking at this and seeing what I payed for her presents. But she knows I’m a cheap diva and I couldn’t resist sharing! The next time you go on vacation you should definitely check out what the city has to offer for outlet malls. Most cities have them and its so worth it! Ta-ta!

P.S. Be sure and check back because I have more vacation steals to show you!

Florida Floppies!

I seriously adore these big floppy beach hats! The fiance and I are taking a little vacation to Florida in a few weeks so I wanted to get some fun Florida friendly accessories. I’m not usually one for the big Kentucky Derby kind of hat but I figured if I could find a few for cheap that I would be game to wear them in the Sunshine state. I have seen these hats in department stores  at upwards of $30. Not too bad but still a little expensive for me to jump up and down at. I found these cute hats at a place called Forever Young in Wolfchase Galleria. When I saw the sing for  buy one get one free I thought to myself “Now your speaking my language!” The big purple one was originally $24.99….

While the white one was originally $14.99. Now I thought that was a good deal but when we got to the register there was an additional discount. I’m still not sure why but I wasn’t going to complain. Could have possibly been some summer clearance where everything in the store has a certain percentage off. So I got both hats for……

$16.38! Ta-da! Gotta love it! Cannot wait to rock these in Florida!

$2 Dollar Make You Holler!!!

Geez! You would think with the name of this blog and my latest title that there is something seedy going on here. Hah, rest assure that I’m not a fashion hoochie mama. Well come to think of it with the price that I payed for this dress I sort of am.  It came with the tags attached and was originally a whopping $253!!! Pretty pricey right? But never fear! The Cheap Diva is here! This beauty was purchased at a local consignment shop for $2 bucks! Yes TWO DOLLARS! Now some people may be hesitant to shop at second hand store but I’m not! I just think of it as vintage shopping. If it was good enough for Carrie Bradshaw then it’s good enough for me! Let me give you a closer look at the detail on the dress….

Cute right! You will have to excuse the camera phone pick but I’m looking into a Cheap Diva way for a new camera. I wore this to our Peabody Rooftop Party ealier this season so if your itching for a more professional picture of the dress here ya go!

Yea baby! In my head I’m saying…”They only think I payed a heap of money for this dress!” Want another look?

I think the crowd loved it 🙂 Oh, and by the way…that hair in my ponytail has a secret. Check back for another post on that! Hope you all are having a Cheap Diva kind of  day!
