With this Ring….

It is a known fact with me that when I decide that I’m into a certain style I become borderline obsessive about it. My current fashion lust is stackable rings. All of those rings you see in the pic above I already had in my jewelry box but like any good OCD fashion stalker I decided that I had to have just one more.

How gorgeous is this dainty little ring I found on ETSY for $19.00! If your planning on stopping by Etsy be a doll and check out my shop while your at it!  Its called LoveLaceCraftoure. Shameless plug  I know 🙂

Leopard and Skully

Haha! I bet you were expecting to see some weird Snooki-esk Halloween costume! Nope just wanted to show you some cute goodies I found at Ross the other day. Pinerest has been showing a lot of leopard print on its style boards so of course I got inspired to add a little RAWR to my wardrobe for fall. After a little searching for some little leopard treasure I was bummed and about to leave when that scarf  jumped up and bit me!  I was happy to have found it among the mass of scarves on that were stuffed onto a small rack on the side of the store. It was a steal at $6.99 seeing as how it retails for around $40.00.  I figured it would look good with a simple black sweater, my black skinny cigarette jeans and possibly some tan boots. I’m trying to get creative with what’s already in my closet. I may be a cheap diva but I have  what I like to call Cheap Buyers Tourette Syndrome. Its basically what happens when you think that your getting such a good deal with one item that you  but like 5 more things than you set out to. Before you know it you have spent like fifty bucks more than you set out to. Happens to  me all the time in Walmart. Anyhoo…

I also found these ADORABLE Steve Madden Skull flats. Buying flats is always a problem for me because I whenever I’m trying them on I get sidetracked by some fabulous pair of stilettos. But these were just too cute for words! Plus they were only $14.99 and retail for like $80! Yay!

Poop?

20121012-170401.jpg

Did my title throw you? LOL! A while back I got tired of paying $35 dollars for a shellac manicure that I could easily do at home so I bought a salon quality LED light on eBay for like $20 bucks. Needless to say that after my crafting obsession began my concern for having well kept nails fell to the wayside.   It seemed such a shame that the cute little nail station I had created in my bathroom was collecting dust so I figured it was time for pretty fingers once again. I was trolling around Hautelook the other day looking for a cheap little happy to buy myself that would fit my meager shopping budget  when I found this generic shellac color for $8.00! SCORE! I liked that it was a sort of khaki color for fall and the name was just too cute…..”Man Muscles”. If you buy a bottle  at Sally’s they run for around $15.00, and its hard to find unique colors so I figured why not treat myself? Well now that I have it on I can’t decide whether or not the color looks chic and trendy, or blah and poopy….What do you think? Do my nails look like dookie?

Resisting Temptation!!!

I will not buy these….I will not buy these….I WILL NOT BUY THESE!!! Maybe if I keep telling myself that then I will pretend I didn’t just see these adorable combat boots on Ebay. My shopping fund has dwindled quite a bit as of lately and it kinda sucks seeing as how there are so many awesome fall booties around. Grrrrrrr!!!! I really REALLY want to click the add to cart button. I mean they are only $28.34…but then there is that pesky $7.00 shipping charge. Sigh I’ll be a good girl and pass on them. For now…….But I’ll be nice to those ladies out there that have a few more pennies in their shoe money piggie bank. You can get them here. Just remember who loves you 😉

Funk-dified

Not to be a Debbie Downer with this post but I’m afraid that the above pic is where I’m at today. It sort of feels like my head and my heart are having a heated argument and neither one is willing to back down. The advice I keep getting from everyone is to start a journal and get my thoughts out of my head and onto a piece of paper. Well I know its strange, but I find it somewhat comforting to put my thoughts here where I know someone is going to read them. This way I don’t have to be embarrassed because I don’t exactly know who. The last four months of my life have whipped me upside down and I really have never felt more lost.  Kind of like I’m a teenager all over again and I’m wandering around trying to find out what makes me tick. I keep it together and do the things that I need to maintain my career and friendships but I’m really searching for something more. Something much more than just going through the motions. What that thing is I am not really sure. Well let’s be honest I know exactly what that things is but for now it seems that the Big Man upstairs has a different plan for me. I’m sort of vague-blogging I know but this is making me feel a little better so you’ll just have to bare with me for a minute. I think what’s bugging me today is that I haven’t felt true inspiration in a hot minute. The kind of inspiration that gives you goosebumps and makes you remember what the definition of the word JOY is. I   was watching Sex and The City today (my go-to dvd choice for times like these) and Charlotte was talking about how you only get two great lives of your life. Well this idea makes me want to contact the creator of that concept and smack him! I have had two great loves…radio was my first and the other, well we all know how well that turned out. I suppose I could analyze this one for days….. was it real, what now and blah blah blah. The truth is that I’m ready to stop searching and just be still. However this is not within my genetic makeup to do.  I am really proud of the things I have accomplished thus far but I realize that I have always been chasing something more. Wanting something more. Sulking over things that I don’t have. One of my old radio friends asked me a soul searching question the other day. “If you could do anything in the world what would you do?” I didn’t have to search long for the answer…. I guess for now the good Lord is forcing me to be still and wait upon him. Thanks for reading 🙂

Love :)

I saw this picture on Pinterest awhile back and have been lusting over this look ever since. Darn Pinterest!! It always has a way of making me spend money! You think it’s  just going to be some innocent re-pinning but nooooooooo. Before ya know it your internet shopping for whatever you just pinned. I have my ears pierced like this chick but I rarely ever wear earrings up there because they catch on my headphones and that’s no bueno. However, I figured that this would be a cute look for going out so off to Ebay I went! I found a pair  for  just five smack-a-roos!

Yay me! Happy Shopping!

Get It Before I do!

Is that not the picture of tranquility? I just came back from an awesome vacation in Destin with a few friends, and that picturesque scene in the reason that my shopping had been put to a halt this month. I  gave my debit card got quite the workout this week but it was well worth it. I even got to go para sailing for the first time! Once I got over being a chicken it was beyond amazing! (Video coming soon). But anyhoo… Just because I’m a little broke doesn’t mean I won’t share this sick find that I just discovered on Nomorerack.com.

I am really tempted to click the add to cart button because this super cute peacoat is only $20 bucks!! Ok I’m getting off of this computer right now because if I don’t I know myself all too well and this coat will end up in my closet 🙂

Festive Finds:)

For some reason this picture just says “Fall to me”. I am so in love with the scent of that Yankee Candle that I picked up at TjMaxx for just $10 bucks. Especially because of the fact that the same size tumbler is $27.00 in the stores. I’m not too sure that its smells like a “South African Vineyard” but it sure smells heavenly. Come to think of it I really wouldn’t know what a South African Vineyard smells like but you get what I’m saying 🙂 Did you notice the gorgeous glass rocks surrounding the candle?

Some friends and I went to a local street festival and a vendor was selling them for a dollar a scoop.  Gotta love those little local finds! I really wish I would have gotten more they are so pretty!

Cheap Bachelorette

If I was looking at all of these odd items as an outsider I would would be thinking one of two things, stripper central or bachelorette party. Well if you were thinking the latter of the two then your right 🙂 I’m planning a bachelorette party for one of my besties and have pretty much been given full reign to do whatever I want with the theme and colors. To be honest I have never thrown a party of any kind but I’m always up for a challenge! Especially a cheap one 🙂 You will be happy to know that I got all of those decorations for under $16.00 bucks! I was checking out party packs online and was not to flabbergasted at the individual prices of things, but all together it would have cost a bundle! Plus I’m not really into the plastic penis straw thing nor do I think the bride is either. Originality is the name of my game peeps. Luckily enough for me Walmart has recently taken after Target’s lead a created a little dollar section for party favors as well as odd and ends. I like going to Walmart as a one stop shop because they also have a crafting section complete with fabric. OK so let’s get to the price breakdown. The paper lanterns, cups, plates, and napkins were all 97 cents a piece. The jewels were $1.50, and the  purple tulle was  $1.27 per yard. They are for her party veil that I’m going to attempt to make myself. Wish me luck on that one! The fuzzy thing was like 89 cents and the glass paint markers were $4.00 for two. I plan on making her and awesome pimp cup fit for a hot princess bride. LOL! I’ll be stopping by the Dollar Store the get the wine glass for it as well as a purple table cloth.  The Dollar Store also has plastic party platters that I may pick up as well. After the party this weekend I’ll post pics of all my creations…. and possibly some of the madness that goes down!

A Bed Worth Laying In ;)

You will have to excuse my poor bed making skills but to be honest, I rarely ever bother to make my bed presentable. LOL! I made the effort today to show you my new comforter. 🙂 I absolutely love anything purple and the blue gives it a nice contrast! As usual, the best part about my new comforter is what I payed for it! Its a king size DKNY and I got it on clearance at Marshall’s for $70 bucks! Check out the cute detail on the pillow shams.

Seeing as how I almost never shop for this kind of stuff in department stores I stalked Ebay for a fair price with no luck. Even on Ebay this exact same comforter sells for $159!! Can u sense the smile of Cheap Diva triumph on my face?
